Data Deletion Instructions

At Collabify.au, we are committed to protecting your privacy. If you wish to have your personal data deleted, we provide an easy process for making a request. Below, we explain how you can request data deletion and what to expect.

How to Request Data Deletion

1. Submit a Request via Email

You can request data deletion by emailing us at privacy@collabify.au. Please include the following details to help us process your request:

Your full name
The email address associated with your account
A brief statement requesting data deletion

For example:

Subject: Data Deletion Request

Hi,

I’d like to request the deletion of my personal data associated with this email: [your email address].

2. If You Logged In Using Facebook

If you use Facebook to log in to Collabify.au, you can request data deletion through Facebook’s settings:

Log in to your Facebook account.
Go to Settings & Privacy > Settings > Apps and Websites.
Find "Collabify.au" in the list of connected apps.
Select Remove App to disconnect us from your Facebook account.

Once you remove the app, Facebook will notify us, and we will delete the associated data within 30 days.

What Happens After You Request Data Deletion?

Acknowledgment: We will acknowledge your request within 48 hours.
Identity Verification: To protect your privacy, we may request additional information to verify your identity before processing your request.
Deletion Process: We will delete your personal data within 30 days of verifying your identity, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes.
Confirmation: Once the deletion is complete, we will send you a confirmation email.

Important Notes About Data Deletion

Data That Cannot Be Deleted: Some data cannot be deleted due to legal or operational requirements, including:
- Data we are required to retain under Australian laws (e.g., tax or compliance records).
- Records necessary for fraud prevention, security, or resolving disputes.
- Aggregated or anonymized data that does not identify you personally.
Partial Deletion: In some cases, data deletion may not be comprehensive. For example, information you have shared publicly or with third parties (e.g., posts, comments, or interactions) may not be entirely removable.
Overseas Users: If you are located outside Australia, please note that your request will be handled under Australian privacy laws. We will do our best to accommodate international regulations, but retention requirements may vary by jurisdiction.
Non-Reversible Action: Once your data is deleted, it cannot be restored. Please ensure you no longer need access to your account or data before submitting your request.
